The Colts annihilated the Valley Maple Leafs in Shearwater Friday night in Nova Scotia Junior Hockey by a count of 16-5. It marked the Leafs fifth consecutive road game of a six-game trip that has seen them fall out of playoff contention going 1-3-1 to date.
Cooper Puma had a field day for the Colts Friday night as he scored three times and added 6 assists collecting nine points and jumping all the way into second place in the League scoring race, now trailing Lane Lochead by 5 points with the regular season concluding a week from Monday. Other big scorers for the Colts were Luke McPhee with three goals and two assists and Liam Andrews also with 3 goals and 2 assists. Cody Garcin scored twice and added an assist with single markers being scored by Matthew Jessome, Brady Wambolt, Riley Henman who also added a pair of assists, Camden McKenzie who scored once and added three assists and Benjamin Veinot who scored once ad assisted on another goal. The Colts were in command the entire game taking a 5-1 lead after the first period and an 11-3 lead after forty minutes while outshooting the Maple Leafs 51-36.
