Strait stuns Bulldogs
A stunning upset in the only playoff game Sunday evening.
Goaltender Manny Strong and Cadyn Power of the Port Hawkesbury Strait Pirates stole the show in Antigonish Sunday evening, as the Strait scored three unanswered goals in the opening period to defeat the Antigonish Jr. Bulldogs 4-1 and tie their Rowe Divisional Semi-Final at 1-1.
Strong was sensational in the Strait pipes as he turned away 47 of 48 Antigonish shots on goal while the Strait managed their four goals on only 20 shots.
Cadyn Power besides his third period goal also collected a pair of assists while Landon MacIntosh, Leo MacLean and Liam Trenholm all scored in the first period for the Pirates. Will Normandeau scored for the Bulldogs in the second period.
Games 3 and 4 in the series will be played Friday and Sunday evening in the Strait.
