Bulldogs now 21-3-0
The Antigonish Jr. Bulldogs just keep on rolling while preventing other teams from getting closer or improving their playoff positioning. The latest was Thursday night when the Bulldogs outgunned the Membertou Jr. Miners 8-2 and in the process kept the Jr. Miners two points back of the Port Hawkesbury Strait Pirates for third place in the Sid Rowe Division as Membertou fell to 8-14-1 for 17 points. Owen Flemming led the way for the Bulldogs scoring twice and adding two assists, improving the Bulldogs season record to 21-3-0 for 42 points. Will McKinnon also scored twice and added an assist while Tully Grant and Cameron Bell added a pair of markers as well. The other Bulldog goal was scored by Will Normandeau. Garrett MacIntosh and Landon Clark tallied for the Jr. Miners. Antigonish outshot the Jr. Miners 36-24 and held period leads of 4-1, 7-1 with the final being 8-2.
