Lochead - Prolific month for Scotians
Lochead named NS Egg Farmers NSJHL Player of the Month
Lane Lochead has been literally tearing the tread off of tires with his recent play in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League and as a result has been NS Egg Farmers Player of the Month for November. Lochead is currently tied with Devin Meagher of the East Hants Penguins for the Junior League scoring lead with 29 points but his play in November has been exceptional.
His Scotians currently occupy second place in the Sid Rowe Division with a record of 10-5-3 for 23 points. His overall scoring on the season has witnessed him netting 10 goals and 19 assists for the 29 points but 17 of those came in the month of November when he tallied 5 goals and 12 assists for 17 points and his team went 6-1-1 for 13 points.
Player of the Month Honours for Lochead will see him earn five dozen eggs from Nova Scotia Egg Farmers and becomes only the second player this year to earn 9 dozen eggs in three weeks. Besides player of the month, he was also named Sid Rowe Division Player of the Week both this week and last week and earned two dozen eggs each week.
The Scotians will play their final two games prior to their Christmas Break this weekend when they travel to Membertou Saturday night for a 7:30 game before returning home Sunday evening for a 6:00 p.m. start in Trenton against the Eskasoni Jr. Eagles.
