Colts - clean sweep in NS Egg Farmers Player of the week

Nova Scotia Egg Farmers Players of the week have been named respectively for the Fred Fox and Sid Rowe Divisions of the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League.  The following is a recap on how these honours were earned.

 
Fred Fox Division:
 
1.  Trayner McCulloch has earned two dozen eggs from the Egg Farmers of Nova Scotia for playing a predominant role in two wins by the Colts this past weekend.  He scored twice and added two assists in the Colts 5-0 win over the South Shore Lumberjacks and 4-2 win over the Brookfield Elks Saturday afternoon at the Don Henderson Memorial Sportsplex in Brookfield.
 
2.  Finishing 2nd in the Player of the Week is also a Capstone Colt.  He is Cooper Puma who scored once and added three assists in the two wins and continues to play outstanding hockey for the Colts who have now climbed over the Sackville Blazers by three points and into second place in the Fred Fox Division.
 
3.  The Colts were a clean sweep for Player of the Week Honours and positioning in the Fred Fox as Conar Brace played outstanding goal in turning away 70 of the 72 shots he faced in the two wins and earned third place.
 
 
Sid Rowe Division:
 
1.  For a second consecutive week Lane Lochead of the Pictou County Scotians has been named player of the week in the Sid Rowe Division and earning another two dozen eggs from Nova Scotia Egg Farmers.  Lochead scored three goals and added an assist in the Scotians win over the Port Hawkesbury Strait Pirates Sunday evening in Trenton.
 
2.  There was a tie for second place in the weekly player honours for the Sid Rowe as teammates Zachary Lorette and Owen Forsythe both earned two goals and two assists in the Bulldogs 8-0 win over Pictou and 9-1 win over Membertou.
 
3.  Manny Strong placed third in the Sid Rowe Division after stopping 66 of 70 shots in a win and a loss over the weekend.
