Egg Farmers of Nova Scotia players of week named

Caissie in Fox and Lochead in Rowe named Eggs Farmers of Nova Scotia Players of the week

 
As we prepare for Week 6 of Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League Action with some dynamite games on tap, the League announced today The Eggs Farmers of Nova Scotia Players of the Week for the week running October 11-18.  Forst off in the Rowe Division:
 
1.   Lane Lochead of the Pictou County Scotians was named player of the week for his explosive 3 goals in the Scotians 5-1 win over Port Hawkesbury Sunday October 13 at home in Trenton.  Lochead’s efforts kept the Scotians close behind the 1st Place Antigonish Bulldogs for first place in the Rowe Division.  Lochead had a four point week as he also garnered an assist in the Scotians 5-3 loss to Sackville in Sackville Friday, Oct 11th/24.  He earned 5 points toward potential player of the month honours.
 
2.  Daniel Chaisson — Had  an impressive game in the Bulldogs 6-1 victory in Windsor over the Valley Maple Leafs.  He was worked and relentlessly checking the entire evening while scoring one goal and adding two helpers.  Chaisson earned 3 points.
 
3.  Matt Carson - He collected a goal and 3 assists in the Scotians 1-1-0 weekend against Sackville and Port Hawkesbury.
 
 
Fred Fox Division:
 
1.  Chris Caissie scored three times and added an assist as the Penguins stayed undefeated in their 8-5 win over the Brookfield Elks.  The Penguins have two tough games tis weekend as they play Membertou Saturday night in Cape Breton and then come back to Port Hawkesbury for a late Sunday afternoon game.
 
2.   Tyler Curnew — He registered three points, scoring once and adding two assists in the Blazers 5-3 win over Pictou.
 
3.    Sam Rogers — despite it being a lose effort, this player never gives up and score twice for the Elks in their loss to East Hants.
