Pictou-Antigonish PPD Thursday

The above weather forecast issued for Pictou and Antigonish Counties by Environment Canada Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. forced the postponement of Thursday night’s scheduled fourth game of the Sid Rowe Divisional Semi-Final between the Antigonish Jr. Bulldogs and Pictou County Scotians scheduled for a 6:30 start in Trenton.
 
As a result of the fourth game being scheduled for Scotians home ice, it has forced the Ppd. of Friday’s potential 5th game in Antigonish.
 
League officials were furiously going over potential ice times for a fourth game in Trenton before they could even examine a potential 5th game in Antigonish.  The Jr. Bulldogs lead the series 3-0.
 
Friday night:
 
Three teams are on the brink of elimination in play Friday night.  The South Shore Lumberjacks are truly hoping they can force aa fifth game back to Bridgewater Saturday night after unexpectedly losing the opening three games against the East Hants Penguins.  Game 4 is scheduled for Lantz Friday evening at the East Hants Sportsplex at 7:30 p.m.
 
The Capstone Colts were prevented from sweeping the Sackville Blazers in the opening round after losing 2-0 Wednesday night in Sackville.  Game 5 in this series will be played Friday night at 7:30 in Shearwater.
 
The Membertou Jr. Miners will be looking to sweep the Port Hawkesbury Strait Pirates as the teams clash in Game 4 of their series Friday evening in the Strait at 7:30 p.m.
