Tie for Game of the Week
With the flurry of make-up games played over the last week, picking the game of the week out of 14 was more than difficult, especially when you consider that seven of the 14 games played were decided by one goal. However after review after review, there is a tie for Game of the Week (Feb 15-22) for the second time in the 23-24 season.
The tie is between the 2-1 Pictou County Scotians win over the Port Hawkesbury Strait Pirates on Tuesday Feb 20 when Cale MacLaughlin scored late in the third period for the Scotians. The other game was played the same evening when the Membertou Jr. Miners squeaked out a 3-2 win over the Antigonish Jr. Bulldogs on a goal by Jarrett Hicks with 3:49 left in regulation.
