Colts Marsh 1 game and 1 Shut-out

The Capstone Colts recorded their fourth shut-out of the season in twenty-eight games as they blanked the Brookfield Elks 6-0 in Nova Scotia Junior Hockey Play Tuesday Feb 13 in Brookfield in a make-up NSJHL game.  The shut-out was recorded by Andrew Marsh who was actually making his first start of the season between the pipes for the Colts.  He stopped all 31 shots he faced.  The Colts scored twice in the opening period and added four more in the third period.  The winning goal turned out to be the game’s first goal only 1:17 into the contest by Noah Latimer.  Dylan Ross added the second Colts goal of the first.  In the third period Cole Good scored his 11th and 12th goals of the season while ex-Elk Ben Fraser netted a short-handed goal while the Colts were serving a delay of game penalty.  Liam Andrews tallied the Colts 6th and final goal as he put home his 21st of the season.  The Colts with the win are now four points ahead of both the South Shore Lumberjacks and East Hants Penguins in the race for first place in the Fox Division.  The Pens and Lumberjacks both have a game in hand on the Colts.  The Colts are now 22-5-1 with four games left in their regular season while the Elks fell to 7-17-2.  In the Elks net, Thomas Gariepy stopped 51 of 57 shots but saw his goals against average increase to 4.03
