Blazers surprise Antigonish for their 4th win of season

The Sackville Blazers can not be counted out yet after  a huge 5-3 win over the Antigonish Jr. Bulldogs in Sackville Monday night.  It was only the fourth win of the season for the Blazers versus nine losses but it enabled them to climb into fourth place in the Fred Fox Division over the Windsor Oxen who also have 8 points at 3-6-2 but one less win.

Sackville were outshot by the Bulldogs 52-31 but Braeden Shaikh turned in a heckuva performance in goal for the winners stopping 49 of the 52 shots he faced.

Dylen Probery scored twice for the Blazers while Aiden Tucker, Brody Fitzpatrick and Adam Maillet registered single goals.  Luc Legere, Will McKinnon short-handed and Will Normandeau all scored for the Bulldogs with all three Antigonish goals coming in the 2nd period.  Cohen Pictou added two assists for Antigonish who fell to 6-5-1 for 13 points, one back of second place Pictou in the Rowe Division and five behind first place Eskasoni.

One game in the League Remembrance Day afternoon as the Windsor Oxen will  try and snap their six game losing streak when they play the Lumberjacks in Bridgewater at 2:00 p.m.
