Lumberjacks have an almost deadly power-play......Colts have scored most goals in the league

The South Shore Lumberjacks are presently tied with the fourth most goals scored this season with 74 in 15 games or 4.9 a game.  They are ten back of third place East Hants and tied with Windsor for fourth place and followed closely behind by the Jr. Miners with 72 and Eskasoni and Antigonish who both have 70.  The Capstone Colts are the only team in the league to date to have scored 100 goals as they have notched 111 or 5.1 a game.  While being tied for fourth in goals scored, the Lumberjacks are the top defensive club in the 11 team league allowing 46 goals or 2.5 a game.  East Hants and the Colts are hot on the heels of the Lumberjacks when it comes to defence as the Pens are second, having allowed only 50 goals or 2.9 a game.  The Colts are a close third allowing 51 goals or 2.8 a game.  Rounding out the Fox Division Teams

 
East Hants is third in league scoring with 84 or 4.9 goals a game.  Windsor is tied with the Lumberjacks having allowed 74 goals apiece.  Sackville and the Elks take up the rear with the Blazers scoring 64 and the Brookfield Elks 38 for a game average of 2.2.
 
Defensively, the Windsor Oxen are tied with the Lumberjacks in goals plowed at 74 while Sackville and Brookfield rank near the bottom with the Blazers having scored 64 or 3.5 a game and Brookfield 38 or 2.2 a game.
 
Special Teams:
 
As for an integral part of any hockey team, the Lumberjacks are deadly when they go on the power-play scoring 36% of the time.  The Colts are second scoring 26% of the time.  Windsor is fourth at 23% and East Hants is tied with Antigoish at 22%.  Sackville and the Elks are both struggling on the power-play with the Blazers connecting 14% of the time and the Elks a mere 11% o the time.
 
The Lumberjacks are also quite proficient when penalty killing.  They stand fifth allowing other teams to score 82% of the time while killing a penalty.  Windsor is just nose ahead with an 83% margin and tied with East Hants who are also 83%.  The Colts are seventh in this category killing penalties 78% of the time, slightly ahead of Sackville which has a kill rate of 76%.  The Elks are last in penalty killing, keeping teams off the scoreboard only 71% of the time.
