NSJHL President Gerard MacDonald said, "The Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League's Board of Governors in a significant decision after lengthy deliberation has resolved to enforce Rule 14.7 and proceed with the complete dissolution of the Cumberland Blues franchise." The decision was reached with an above 75% majority vote, as stipulated by the Junior League's Constitution.

The League's AGM is scheduled for Saturday June 15 in Trenton and plenty of discussion will take place concerning a schedule for 2024-2025 as it now leaves the Sid Rowe Division with five teams and the Fred Fox with six.
