Pens and Privateers - Game 7 Friday

It will be game 7 in Lantz Friday night after the East Hants Penguins scored two goals in a span of 27 seconds in the first period Wednesday night in Liverpool to defeat the Privateers 4-3 and knot their Best-of-Seven Semi-Final at 3-3.  Friday’s game is a 7:30 start.  The goals from Nick Veinot and Brody Fraser were scored before the game was four minutes old.  Daniel Kline’s first of 2 goals for the Privateers brought Liverpool back to within 1 with 17 seconds to play in the opening period.

In the second, Carson Gallant tied it at 2-2 mid-way through the 2nd for the Privateers before the Pens went back up 3-2 on Brandon Klot’s first of two goals.  Klot put the Penguins ahead 4-2 2:02 into the third.  Daniel Kline’s second goal made it a one goal game again but that is the way it stood for the duration as the Pens won 4-3.  Aidan Durnford was very busy in the Privateer nets as he stopped 52 of 56 shots while Marcus Pettipas stopped 36 of 39 for the Penguins.
