Colts now up 2-1 in games

The Sackville Blazers were looking to go ahead 2-1 in their Best-of-Seven semi-final with the Capstone Colts Saturday evening but evidently ran out of gas as after taking a 4-2 lead with less than three minutes to play in the second period, wound up giving up four consecutive goals to the Colts, two by Cody Garcin losing 6-4.  Cole Goodwin’s power-play goal with 2:53 remaining in the second started the four goal splurge for the Colts and Garcin tied the game at 4-4 when he scored on a penalty shot with 11:44 to play in regulation.  Henman and Garcin rounded out the scoring for the Colts in the third.  The Blazers led 3-2 after one period with Degen Noble putting the Blazers ahead 1-0 29 seconds into the opening frame.  Copper Puma tied it before Zachary Jenkins made it 2-1 Blazers.  Cole Good of the Colts and Justin Hardie of Sackville, both players who also finished with a pair of assists scored the remaining two goals in the first.  Jenkins scored his 2nd goal of the game Goodwin’s completed the second period scoring.   Jaden Hardie collected a trio of assists for the Blazers who were outshot 52-30 by the Colts who now take their 2-1 games advantage into the fourth game of the series Monday night in Sackville at 7:30 p.m.
