Privateers name new Head Coach

The Liverpool Privateers of the NOVA SCOTIA JUNIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE, will play host to this years Atlantic Jr.B championship (Don Johnson Memorial Cup) and announce today the appointment of Jon McWilliams as head coach.  Jon joins associate coach Ben Duffy, and assistant coach Peter Gallant.  Also added to this year coaching staff is Kegan Larade and Josh Nicholson former players of the Privateers.  Both were MVPs with the team and all-stars with the NSJHL.  
 
Jon is a Dartmouth native who has recently moved back after almost 30 years.  Jon worked in every imaginable capacity in the hockey world.  Development (Skating) is Jon's specialty.  Jon  has coached at every level, from beginners to European pros, as player/coach, including Jr.A and Jr.B in the USA as head coach and GM.  US collage women's hockey (ACHF) as head coach.  He has been director of development at the Jr.A level and was a coach and mentor with Saskatchewan hockey and technical advisor. 
 
"My teams traditionally plays a fast, heavy game and will compete everynight.  I am excited to have the opportunity to host the Don Johnson Cup and our team goal is to win the Atlantic championship at home".
 
Jon and wife Mindy have four kids and live in Bedford NS.  Jon will be offering skill clinics for minor hockey players in Queens county throughout the hockey season.
